But this is one of those movies that I appreciate (toxic masculinity in the 70s) but I just didn’t love it. 2) Chick Inn has been trying to open in my neighborhood for at least five months. Finally it opened and it was delicious- best waffles ever. 3) I had a tiny crush on Michael McDonald growing up. Concert was awesome. 4) I’m not going to discuss the Mets till November.
I can’t imagine the work that has gone into recreating those gorgeous rooms. Also- yes to Michael. I was such a child of the 70’s so the hair, the beard, the voice… I saw them years ago.
Would love to see a live tennis match!

Carnal Knowledge, not familiar. My wife and I watched the ultra heavy A Rasin in the Sun.. Wednesday we are seeing A Patch of Blue with Poitier in the local Art House the night before our vacation.
You know, I always preferred the Doobie Brothers pre-Michael McDonald. He brought a lot of soul to the band, but I just dig their earlier sound more. Not that I have anything against him as a solo artist!
I’ve never had chicken and waffles. My daughter’s pug is named Waffles. She’s thinking of getting another dog and naming it chicken. I have never seen Carnal Knowledge.
What was interesting was how in 1971 Nichols created the ultimate toxic male…and how it wasn’t good. But then I wondered if Nicole’s based the character in himself.
