All animals are equal but some are more equal than others
George Orwell Animal Farm
Really- what did you think my favorite quote would be? On Wednesday’s we wear pink?

It’s so sad that orwell was so right in many ways, even down to the part in 1984 where the woman’s “waist thickens” when she becomes a dispirited blob. Those things happen!

And way back when I thought I’d never get like that and would always be the noble character in any of his books, and that society would live up to the best and be so much better than these bleak prophecies–

My favourite quote is from Nietzsche and represents my own truth – ‘there are no facts, only interpretations.’

“No one can make you feel inferior without your consent.” Eleanor Roosevelt. I struggle with low esteem and when it gets really bad, this quote always makes me feel empowered.

Second favorite New Yorker quote. When William F. Buckley ran as a long shot for Mayor, he was asked what would be the first thing he would do if elected. “Ask for a recount,”he replied.

I, of course, love your choice. I have a hard time picking as I have loved musing over quotes since I was in middle school. I guess I’ll throw out one that has been written in various forms and attributed to various people. “Be kinder than you need to be, because everyone you meet is going through something.”

Have only just realised this because I couldn’t remember where I heard this, and that it’s a Dr SeUss quote, but – ‘Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind, don’t matter and those that matter, don’t mind.
