Queesnsyard at Hudson Yards- Sticky toffee pudding for dessert, burrata and guac and chips for apps
What I saw in the theaters: Oscar Nominated Shorts- Live Action…Rear Window- I’ve see Rear Window before, on TV. However, the real version has scenes that I’ve never seen before- who knew?
Brooklyn Botanic GardenChocolate Cream Pie from Petee’s Pies
I remember as a kid going to the Brooklyn Botanical Garden, so magical to have that in the middle of the hustle and bustle of the city. Love all the spring blooms. That pie looks sinful.
I’m reading (viewing) this post a little after 7:00 am, my time, staring at the blossoms in my yard, it feels right and good that both side of our country are cooperating. C
Rear Window is one of my all time fave movies. I don’t know about going to the theater yet but we did go to a Giant’s game yesterday. They DID check ID with the proof of vaccine, and not just a quick look either. She looked at me and the id and matched names and dates. It did not take very long and the whole experience was very organized.
Agree, I can tell more people are driving now and just out in general. Hoping for the BEST. Listening to European news and they are still in lockdown, hope that doesn’t happen to us again.
Well…if we are all getting vaccinated, and they’re developing a booster it should not happen unless the goal is to control us as a society. Europe is way behind in actually getting people vaccinated, or let’s say that’s my understanding. Barring vaccine delays, over half of nyc residents will e vaccinated by June first. That’s like 5 million people
OMG! Dogwood trees in NYC! Who knew? I didn’t, mainly because I knew nothing about them till I moved to TN. They are everywhere there and even have their own arts festival in Knoxville!
And the Ruth Lewis Farkas House? I just googled that. Clearly, when I have a chance to return to NYC, I’ll have to get a list of the interesting places to visit from you, as well as places to eat. Are the foods and restaurants you feature here weekly all new to you or do they include some of your favorites?
Fantastic ! Thanks for posting, LA. 🤗⚘

Enjoyed the photos… glad you are getting out and enjoying yourself a bit. Here in Chicago, more people are out. Feels almost back to normal.

We try to find new restaurants when possible, but sometimes revisit. Shuka was new for us. We’d been to emmetts but years ago.
