I slowly get back on my feet….the city slowly gets back on its feet…

Tea Book Club
Took a tea break at Barnes and Noble
Guess who got vaccinated?
Theater for the New City did a pop up showcase on Saturday outside their theater. This is the Pablo Band. Wonderful on so many levels.
Movie I watched at home- FYI- I thought it was convoluted
This is an Instagram that I just thought…why? Why do we feel the need to project the image that we don’t eat when we begin a relationship? Conversely, why do we feel the need to let ourselves go once we are in a relationship? Is this a topic that should be thrown off on an insta post? This idea may end up as a future post. Tell me if you think it is worth discussing.

  1. Both my husband an d myself have gotten vaccinated in different types of places. He went to a mass vaccination site at Gillette Stadium and I went to a smaller site through my doctor/hospital although it was in an office building. Both ran very smoothly. I think now that people can just register and be notified when appointments are available takes away the stress of trying to find one.
Love the afternoon tea, looks delicious as well as fun.

    1. Y husband got his earlier because of his asthma. He went to Department of Health because they are more tightly regulating people getting vaccinated due to things other than age. When you meet the age eligibility you can get the vaccine anywhere, so I got it at NYU which is relatively close to my house and has an appointment open

  2. Your favorite IG-er is back I see! They seem to set you off…maybe try to look for more cute animals to follow 🙂 We have a local musician that was doing pop-up concerts on his front porch last summer. I wonder if he’ll start up again. It would be nice since I don’t think the city will restart our concerts in the park feature at this point.

    1. Our mayor is setting up special vaccine centers for eligible Broadway employees. I take that as a good sign we will be back soon. Theater for the new city was cool. They had acts performing for about 8 minutes at a time. We stayed for three. It was really fun and I felt alive!!

    2. The other day I told you I’m reading the Between two kingdoms book, and you said it’s on your list. I’m going to suggest you read it sooner rather than later. About 60% of the way through there’s a section that is really good for people like you and I have have been limping our way through pandemic. I’m finding lots of insight and parallels that I think you might like reading

    1. The tea was awesome. This had a Japanese bent to it…the deviled eggs were wasabi. The crepe cake was matcha. The teas were a caramel milk tea and a rose milk tea. Everything was amazing

      1. Oh that sounds wonderful!! I’m getting ready to make some deviled eggs….. never even thought of making them “wasabi”!!! I am definitely going to try that!!!

  3. I’ve not been back into the movie theater yet. Love the Barns and Noble table with the vase of flowers against the cityscape. Very cool. Congrats on getting a needle stick! WooHoo! I’m sure a discussion topic on the dichotomy between eating/not eating and relationships would be fascinating. Once there are enough people vaccinated/infected and recovered, and herd immunity is reached what do you think the next crisis will be? Hope you continue on the road to recovery. ❤️

    1. ICAL had so many plot holes I could drive through them…and can I just tell you how much it scared me that it’s based on a true story?! Super host was about an Airbnb. It was such a good premise but the book just fell flat….

      1. I’m reading a memoir…Between Two Kingdoms. I think it’s amazing, but I don’t know if it translates to a walking book. Look at Finlay Donovan is Killing it. I thought it was fun

  4. What fun pictures and activities. The square by the City Hall in Sf is always changing displays. I am going out today to capture some pictures for my A to Z. Hope I can do as well as you!

  5. Great pics, as always, LA. Completely agree with you about the movie, I Care Alot. I didn’t even finish it. As to your question about a future discussion topic, yes, please. Have a great week, my friend.

      1. I totally understand. I think I made it about 2/3 of the way through; and, once that far into a movie, I rarely retreat, however, to your points, I could not take one more minute. Horrible.

  6. I Care A Lot…”convoluted” Can you explain why you thought so?

Last comment about not eating/eating. I think this goes in the category of just being yourself from the beginning. I LOVE to eat, so I’ve never gone on a date and NOT eaten. In fact, men used to comment about how much I was eating lol It’s worth blogging about.

    1. Ok. I get that the story was based on a true story. Though I hate the thought of someone taking advantage of someone else, I am ok with that part of the story. It was the other improbable that annoyed me. Escaping the car, getting home to the girlfriend just in time…all these magical coincidences that just annoyed me. The main plot itself…cheating people…that should have been enough to carry the movie

    1. Food is always center to out dates too! Like today we are seeing a movie at 3, then we are getting Italian sandwiches and bringing them home to eat while we/he watches basketball
