Hi all,
In the middle of the night Saturday/Sunday I woke up to go to the bathroom. I found that I had incredible vertigo and ended up going to the emergency room.
After spending the day there, and having multiple scans including an MRI, CT scan and X-rays, I was found to not have anything major like a stroke, heart attack or brain tumor.
That’s good news,
The other thing is that they’re not conclusive as to what is causing the vertigo,
Presently I’m a home and awaiting a vertigo medicine that will help ear crystals, which is the conclusion they’ve come to. I have to start physical therapy next week. Apparently this is quite common.
I am going to take a few days off writing to process all this.
See you soon!

I’m hearing of increasing numbers suffering from Labyrinthitis – it sounds absolutely awful. I wish you a speedy & full recovery. If you’re not able to read, I hope someone has hooked you up with a supply of audio books to help pass the time.

I haven’t really been able to read…which stinks, and I’m afraid to put headphones in😆

Have dealt with this as well. Crystals was the diagnosis for me too..had to do ten minute “exercises” three times a day for a few months and then it was fine, thank God! I also felt that (personally) not drinking enough water may have had something to do with it.

Omg the angst of trying to get a rehab appointment! When I’m feeling better will recount!!

Boy, I sure didn’t get rehab..what a rip off!! (Isn’t there that insurance that Joe Namath sells on TV that covers rehab that includes a back massage, pedicure and dinner deliveries..? I’m tellin’ ya, it sounds amazing!😂) Yeah, no–I was sent home by the ENT to sit in my lazy boy chair for a day with one sheet of xeroxed paper with my head exercises on it..HA. I think our insurance must be called “Too bad for U-BLUE” … no paperwork hassles because you pay for everything and get nothing! 🤨 FEEL BETTER! This will pass…I promise!

Fingers crossed that you are able to get on top of this and it doesn’t come back. I’m hoping everyone is tactful enough not to mention your age or use words like “thin end of the wedge”. 🙂

I vaguely remember hearing that that there was a hill I was about to reach the peak of….

Don’t worry about the hill – the view is great and the descent is quite exciting. 🙂
