A few weeks ago my friends had a text chain. This chain was:

Top five top front person of a band whose name is not included in the title of the band.

eg. Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band DOES NOT COUNT.

Mick Jagger as part of the Rolling Stones DOES

My choices are:

  1. Freddy Mercury- Queen
  2. Debby Harry – Blondie
  3. Jim Morrison- Doors
  4. Chrissie Hynde- Pretenders
  5. Bono- U2

There are no wrong answers!!

There are only- Oh yeah I forgot about them- that’s a great choice!

Play here. Play on your own blog. Play with your friends.

Let’s have fun with music!!

  3. The Bangles – Susannah Hoffs
The Go Go’s – Belinda Carlisle
The Beatles – All Four of them!
    Bread – David Gates
The Young Rascals – Eddie Brigati (I looked them up because I knew Felix Cavaliere. I used to serve him from the deli counter when I worked at the Fresh Market in Brentwood, TN. Very nice guy.)

  4. Robin Zander – Cheap Trick
    Geddy Lee – Rush
    Robert Plant – Led Zeppelin
    Aaron Freeman – Ween
    Sir Paul – The Beatles

    Not necessarily in that order.

(Oh, and I’m leaving Freddie Mercury off of the list because he’s the clear winner; really the question should begin with, “Besides Freddie Mercury, who are the Top Five…”. I am assuming that other people who left him off their lists are doing so for the same reason.)

      1. I prefer John’s writing and the timbre of his voice, but if I had to pickI would say that Paul is technically a better singer (I’m pretty sure he has a greater range, for example), but really, yeah, it’s a tie.
