A few weeks ago my friends had a text chain. This chain was:
Top five top front person of a band whose name is not included in the title of the band.
eg. Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band DOES NOT COUNT.
Mick Jagger as part of the Rolling Stones DOES
My choices are:
- Freddy Mercury- Queen
- Debby Harry – Blondie
- Jim Morrison- Doors
- Chrissie Hynde- Pretenders
- Bono- U2
There are no wrong answers!!
There are only- Oh yeah I forgot about them- that’s a great choice!
Play here. Play on your own blog. Play with your friends.
Let’s have fun with music!!

Haha, I am comfortable with Daltrey for The Who but was less so with Cream, so, left them aside 😉

Grace Slick: Jefferson Starship, Starship. I just listened to her autobiography on Audible. Illuminating, but way too short.

She has one of the best voices – ever. And I always thought she was married to Paul Kantner. Nope. She just decided she wanted his kid. 🙂

Robin Zander – Cheap Trick
Geddy Lee – Rush
Robert Plant – Led Zeppelin
Aaron Freeman – Ween
Sir Paul – The Beatles
Not necessarily in that order.
(Oh, and I’m leaving Freddie Mercury off of the list because he’s the clear winner; really the question should begin with, “Besides Freddie Mercury, who are the Top Five…”. I am assuming that other people who left him off their lists are doing so for the same reason.)

You think Paul over John? I always think they were equal

I prefer John’s writing and the timbre of his voice, but if I had to pickI would say that Paul is technically a better singer (I’m pretty sure he has a greater range, for example), but really, yeah, it’s a tie.
