What I watched this weekDoes the world really want to know what I think of these products?
Notice that the organization Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design got a C rating for energy efficiency…
What I read this week
As seen in NYCSkating in Bryant ParkDecorating the TreeOur Zoom Tea Society Holiday meeting #pretaporteapumpkin ravioli
My two new instagram friends…I love pink, but this is going even a bit too far for me…\You can’t really tell, but there was a rally for farmers in India
My playlist for the week…

Today’s poll is NOT about the vaccine, but about books! If you can’t see it in reader, you can go to my actual site and play along:
When I got that email the other day,and looked at what I bought, all I could think was wow…these are blog worthy reviews….you would think there was an algorithm that would flush out the products that probably don’t need a review…
Given that algorithms are happy to show you dozens more of the things you’ve already bought, I doubt they’re clever enough to not ask you to review things like drain covers or toilet paper
Thank you for the cultural stroll down a NYC sidewalk…the literary walk is sooooo New York. I hope you know your ‘normal’ is way beyond the radar of most of us living elsewhere…
Very cool, even (maybe especially) the cigarette butts along the way, too!
😎
I try to be authentic….it’s funny because most New Yorkers take this stuff for granted. There are those who would totally mock me for taking these shots. I kind of marvel in everything around me
If you get a mocker-encounter…just say you’re doing it to educate and enrich the lives of those of us deprived of such every-day things!
Regardless – I read each ’tile’ FYI!
It’s a Lamborghini, so that would be one heck of a Mary Kay salesperson…. I just thought this particular grouping of products they wanted me to review was noteworthy
The literary walk is such fun. Your tea society is pretty nice. Thanks for the shots of the city always fun to see how others live, but most of all your kitty made my morning.
I’ve seen one building with an A so far. Not all buildings have been rated yet though. I just thought that it was pretty interesting that an environmental agency got that grade
I know. Including a tiny sample of their winter limited addition which is a musky amber and it’s gorgeous but it’s only sold in large format…but it’s so sultry….the goal is to “pair” the teas with scents…..normally we do this at Bergdorf Goodman and we get hand massages, but, you know….
Tea society. But the founder does certain events throughout the year. Every holiday season we go to the jo malone counter at BG and we have tea and macarons and they tell us all about the winter specials and we all spend just a little too much money. We usually just do tea at different tea places, but this is our holiday thing
Does the book club have gifts and prizes too? Maybe I should just skip the reading and the drinking and start my own gift and prizes club..I could call it the Goody-bag society.. straight up it’s all about the gifts..no pretending, all pretentious..
Pretty sure that pink car is a Mary Kay car. My understanding is that they get one if they hit a certain milestone in sales. They are pretty distinctive in their color.
Love the Literary Walk !

I can’t tell you how much I want to hear your opinion of the drain protector.

Those are very talented drivers. I remember my last time parallel parking was in the city. Your cat appears very wise.

Was that pink car a Mary Kay Cosmetics car? I also get requests to review boring products I’ve bought and I always ignore such requests

A Lamborghini?! Maybe it was Mary Kay’s daughter’s car. I saw the company is worth millions.

I’m hoping it’s a Mary Kay person! It was odd to see it parked on the street in my generic neighborhood…

Alas no. The founder is a tea master I guess it’s called? We also do a book club 5 times a year.

Umm.. probably not? 😂 I don’t think I’ve ever seen that color pink on a car that wasn’t a Mary Kay car. I guess it could be the owner of the company.

Cool literary walk. Love that it leads to the library. LOL I have a picture of “Elvis” in his pink Cadillac that we took in Vegas a few years ago.
