This week started with Easter and quickly became a mini vacation/college tour week. I’m still getting things in order on my apartment and playing catch up (I’m looking at my desk calendar which still says Monday April 2, so there’s that…) I wasn’t actively thinking about gratitude this week, but let’s see what I can come up with.
- Amtrak Palmetto (despite the very early and very late departure times)
- Uber Pool
- google maps
- comfy hotel beds after a long day
- Villanova NCAA Men’s Basketball Champions!!!
- Being in DC for cherry blossoms, a bucket list item crossed off
- foot massager
- flat shoes
- daughters good grades so college tours can be a little fun
- daughter that is a great traveling companion
- cheeseburgers
- Smithsonian
- luggage on wheels
- my daughter lugging 4 huge study guides on the trip so she could study and then only opening one of them
And there you go!! I’m going to be more proactive this week. And- yes- still catching up!!!
That sounds like a pretty good week!

Did you see the trailer for the Melissa McCarthy movie where she goes back to college?

Yes……looks like a funny one! I’m not sure how my daughter would feel though. She’s actually now studying at my alma mater. A few weeks ago I was dropping her off to class, and I got a “look” when I suggested I come inside with her, just to have a look around.

Sounds like a great week. For both of you. Hopefully she gets to go where she wants to go and you get to see the top of your desk and the right day on your calendar. And have a wonderful day today!

Good luck on the college tours! I always enjoyed those because my son and then my daughter were so hopeful and excited about the next stage of their lives. They have since graduated and are in their careers but I remember those well. Oh..and cherry blossoms…always a good thing!!

I hope you two had fun! I remember taking both my daughter and son on their trips. Daughter and I had fun, but son was auditioning so he was a little stressed out!
