And here it is, Sunday again. No snow in Manhattan, but gross weather. So here’s a snapshot of my life, which may or may not be a future blog post
What I’m reading:
“Portrait of a Lady” Henry James (reread for book club, and as it’s about a million pages and I haven’t read it in 30 years, this could be on my list next week.)
What I watched:
“Annihilation” (I don’t normally like sci fi but this was cool)
Top Chef
Big Bang Theory
What I did:
New York Botanic Garden Orchid Show
Parent Teacher Conferences
What I listened to:
Celine Dion
Backstreet Boys
Black Panther soundtrack
Spotify Run Wild playlist
Brandy
Deborah Cox
Third Eye Blind
Interesting Tidbit:
I took the online quiz to be a contestant on Jeopardy. The questions are not particularly hard, but you have 15 seconds to type in your answer, which can be challenging since you don’t have much time to actually think, which is sort of like being on the show. And you all know I’m spelling challenged. I find out next week if I passed or not.
Random Question:
Do you keep a journal? You know I obsessively keep a planner, so I’m always jotting things down in there, but I also keep a one line a day journal which is neat cause I don’t freeze at the open page.
you’re one busy lady 🙂

I don’t really journal, but at the bottom of my daily book of tasks I write a few lines or thoughts about how I am feeling. Saw the Post last night it was fantastic! Love Tom Hanks.

I used to journal but realized it kept me from writing other things and it tended to be self-pitying–nothing I really wanted to leave behind for my grand kids to discover. 😉

The only good thing about journaling is sometimes getting all the negative stuff out is good for the mindset!

I have a bullet journal. I started bullet journaling in January of 2017 and I love it so much.

How do you organize your bullet journal?

I started a new notebook this year and I always start my journals with my yearly spreads. After that I start my monthly setup which you can see here https://mistysbookspace.wordpress.com/2018/01/31/february-2018-bullet-journal-setup/
I’ve added another spread to my monthly where I keep up with how many pages I read each day. I’ve also posted some of my yearly spreads.

I really need to delve into what you do. I love the whole bullet idea.

I hope that was helpful. I’ve done two bullet journal posts this year if it would help for you to look at what I’ve done.

I remember them in little bits but I have to really delve into them

I literally watched bullet journal videos on YouTube to figure out what to do. I tried different things last year and this year I’ve finally found what seems to be working for me.

I do fake bullet journals…

As long as it’s working for you that’s all that matters.

Yes and no to journal. My problem is that I pile crap on it and then refuse to deal with the crap. So when I’m not journalling, I miss it.

Yes I keep a journal. I don’t write in it everyday but I do occasionally when things are bothering me. My blog has become my journal. When I do write longhand in my journal I use a pretty notebook and a cool pen

My blog is sort of like my journal too. I blog about what’s on my mind. I actually never thought about it like that!

I am supposed to be keeping a journal, ordered by my sponsor. I’m keeping a medical one for blood pressure, anxiety, and shoulder pain; the medical one is thicker than the sponsor ordered one. For reasons.😮

Does it really help?

The medical one seems to be helping more than the sponsor ordered one. Which is weird. But yeah, noting vital signs, aches & pains, mental state; it’s definitely helping me recognize what’s what a little better.

Like Chrissy, my blog is my journal. It wouldn’t do for me to write longhand. I can’t read my own writing when it’s cold.

I keep a journal…sort of. I tend to find other things to do and then I forget about it. Maybe I should write first thing in the morning?

There are people that swear by writing in the morning. They say it clears you up for the day

I’ve been reading off and on Portrait of a Lady for the past couple of years. lol Kudos on finishing it years ago and rereading it now. It’s got to be good enough to finish (I have enjoyed reading it. There’s just too many books, too little time).
I hope you get to be one of the contestants on Jeopardy! Good luck!
And I do have a journal, but I’m horrible at writing in it every day. I write in it sporadically. Again, too much writing and reading, and then I’ve got to fit in housework, spending time with my hubby and sons, and all the regular things, like you mentioned, parent/teacher conferences, which are coming up this Thursday as a matter of fact!
Anyway, enjoy your evening. 🙂

Thanks! One of my book clubs is doing portrait, hence the reread. It’s good, but dense. The jeopardy test was difficult. My daughter is doing the teen jeopardy test on Wednesday. Should be fun!
